Crappy Calgary drivers

I get pretty sick of the way people in this city drive. I'm really tired of drivers who refuse to stop for pedestrians in crosswalks, don't stop at stop signs, don't know what turn signals are for, and are in too much of a hurry to get wherever they're going. Too many drivers are yakking on their cellphones (or texting) to pay attention to what they're doing. I really think it should be a lot harder to get a driver's license than it is now. Something more like getting a pilot's license would keep a lot of the idiots off the road. It needs to be easier to revoke licenses too - some things should result in automatic loss of license for life (drunk driving, for one).

I'm sure I'm in the minority in my opinion - this society considers driving a basic necessity, and people aren't going to give up driving, even if it kills them (or others).
